A Website Every Patient Can Use
The Dental Studio of Midland is committed to making this website usable for everyone, including visitors who rely on assistive technology. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We review key pages and controls, and welcome reports of barriers.
Built with Accessibility in Mind
These features support reading, navigation, and appointment requests with different devices and input methods.
Semantic structure
Pages use proper headings, landmarks, and labels so screen readers can navigate content in a logical order.
Keyboard navigation
Every link, button, menu, and form field can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone.
Visible focus indicators
A clear outline follows keyboard focus so you always know where you are on the page.
Alternative text
Meaningful images carry descriptive alt text, and purely decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology.
Restrained motion
Background videos have a Play/Pause control. They do not start automatically when your device requests reduced motion or data saving. Reduced motion also disables page reveal animations, transitions, and smooth scrolling.
Contrast-checked palette
Text and interface colors are chosen against WCAG AA contrast ratios, so content stays readable for low-vision visitors.
Where We're Still Working
Some parts of this website rely on third-party tools we don't control. The embedded Google Map on our contact page and the Google Translate language option are built and maintained by their providers, and they may not fully meet the same accessibility standard as the rest of the site. Both are optional: the site's core content, contact details, and appointment request form work without them.
Accessibility is ongoing work. We review the site as it evolves, and when a barrier is reported we prioritize fixing it. If something on this site doesn't work for you, we'll help you complete your task another way — starting with a phone call.
Found a Barrier? Tell Us.
If you have difficulty using any part of this website, or you have suggestions for making it more accessible, please reach out. We'll help you get what you need — including scheduling by phone — and work to remove the barrier.
