Dental bonding, done in one visit

Bonding repairs small flaws with tooth-colored resin that Dr. Jordon Green shapes and polishes to match your teeth. It fixes small chips, closes small gaps and reshapes uneven edges in a single visit.

Bonding may be right if you have...

Bonding works best for small cosmetic fixes on otherwise healthy teeth.

  • A small chip on a front tooth
  • A small gap between two teeth
  • Uneven or worn edges
  • A small flaw you'd like fixed without veneers

Overview

What is dental bonding?

Bonding is one of the quickest ways to improve a tooth. Dr. Jordon Green applies tooth-colored resin, sculpts it into shape, hardens it with a curing light and polishes it to blend in with the teeth around it. Little or none of the natural tooth needs to be removed, and it's all done in one visit. For bigger changes, or for teeth with deep stains or several flaws, porcelain veneers or crowns may be the better choice, and Dr. Green will tell you which fits.

Why choose bonding?

  • Fixes small chips, small gaps and uneven edges
  • Done in one visit, with no lab work to wait for
  • Tooth-colored resin matched to your teeth
  • Little or no removal of your natural tooth
  • Pairs well with whitening
  • A simple first step before considering veneers

The process

How bonding works

  1. Shade matching

Dr. Green looks at the tooth, talks through what you'd like changed, and picks a resin shade that matches your teeth.

  2. Shaping and curing

The resin is applied, sculpted into shape and hardened with a curing light.

  3. Polish and check

The tooth is polished to a natural shine and your bite is checked, all in the same visit.
